Many of you know I love to tell stories and I don’t mind telling my business, well at least the part that I want you to know (LOL!). Well the other day I was hanging out with a couple of my girlfriends and we were sitting around eating and listening to music, when Beyoncé’s Flawless came on. And you guys know I love me some Beyoncé. So as I sat and listened to the song it came to me… I may appear flawless but I am definitely flawed we all are, yes even Beyoncé. And I really gained a greater understanding that my flaws don’t make me less than a woman, mother or a friend. My flaws are a reflection of what gives me character. From the twist in my walk, to the mumble in my speech. My flaws make me…. Me. Although there are areas where my flaws will continue to be perfected. I will use each one to help build my character. My flaws don’t define me but inspire to love me and to continue to let God create in me the woman He has designed me to be. Remember God has created each and every one of us in His image and He looked at His creation and said it was good. So every day I can say I woke up like this… I’m the image of my God.
As this new year begins. I want to challenge you to wake up daily, look in the mirror, and say I am perfectly and wonderfully made. God help me to see me as you see me. Your words carry so much power. More power then you could even understand. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21 “there is life and death in the power of the tongue…” So as you begin to confess daily these things you will then begin to visualize it.
