About: Her Best Yes
It was a long time coming but when I finally made the decision to stop and say yes! My life has been greater than I could ever imagine. I have been through a lot and have done a lot in my life. I wasn't sure that I could or should be used. All I knew was that I had to do something because the life I was living was for the birds.
It’s not like I had a terrible childhood. I had the best... nice home, cars and clothes. I have a good family, great friends and the best two boys anyone could ask for. But I was empty… my life was not complete. Was it because I was 30 and divorced? Was it because I never completed college? Was it because I never had the courage to follow my dreams? I didn’t know, but what I did know was that I was ready for a change. So that’s when I decided enough was enough I was ready to seek God and dedicate my life to my calling… my God-given purpose, even if that meant traveling this road alone.
But before my journey would begin; I had to take the time to heal from the inside out. Heal from past hurts and rejection. Heal from my divorce and lost friendships. Heal from my own insecurities. This was a process and the hardest part was first understanding that even with my issues God could use me and I deserve it! I deserved to be free. I deserve to be loved. I deserve all the promises that God has given to me.
Through that season God begin to birth in me a vision for Her Best Yes! Scared, nervous and excited all in one, but I’m definitely willing to say yes!
I don’t want our young women to grow up not knowing or understanding their worth, identity, or purpose in Christ. For so long we have let society and our peers determine our sense of beauty, our worth, even our level of success. But understanding who we are in Christ is one of the most freeing, amazing things you could ever do for yourself. And I want to encourage all young women to just say YES!
From my heart to yours,
A Godly Girl
